The rules that govern your use of AfriDish

1. Agreement to these Terms

By creating an account or using AfriDish ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Vital Rise Health LLC ("AfriDish", "we", "us", "our").

2. Who may use AfriDish

You may use AfriDish only if:

• •You are 18 years of age or older.
• •You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• •Your use complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
• •You are not prohibited from receiving services under applicable law.

3. Account registration

You must register an account to use AfriDish. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You may not create an account on behalf of someone else without their consent.

4. Subscriptions and payments

AfriDish offers three paid subscription tiers: Standard ($9.99/month), Health Pro ($14.99/month), and Family Vault ($24.99/month). All new accounts receive a 7-day free trial.

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise AfriDish to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a subscription period.

5. Intellectual property — AfriDish owns everything

All content, features, and functionality of AfriDish are the exclusive property of Vital Rise Health LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

This includes, without limitation:

• •The AfriDish name, logo, and brand identity.
• •The 1,200-dish African food database and all associated nutritional data.
• •All AI prompt engineering, meal plan generation logic, and health conditions algorithms.
• •The software code, database schemas, API designs, and application architecture.
• •All written content, translations, health notes, and dish descriptions.
• •The concept, design, and user experience of the AfriDish platform.

6. What you may NOT do

You expressly agree NOT to:

• •Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any part of AfriDish without our written permission.
• •Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of AfriDish.
• •Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from AfriDish using automated tools.
• •Use AfriDish to build a competing product or service.
• •Share your account credentials with others or allow others to use your account.
• •Attempt to bypass security features, rate limits, or authentication mechanisms.
• •Use AfriDish for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

7. IMPORTANT: Health disclaimer

AfriDish provides nutritional information and meal planning suggestions for general wellness purposes only. AfriDish is NOT a medical device, medical service, or substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

ALWAYS seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional regarding your specific health conditions, medications, and dietary needs. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in AfriDish.

The safety indicators (green/yellow/red) on dishes are based on general nutritional guidelines and are not personalised medical advice. Your doctor or dietitian may recommend different guidance based on your specific clinical situation.

AfriDish expressly disclaims any liability arising from reliance on nutritional information, meal plans, or health suggestions provided through the Service.

8. User-generated content

If you submit content to AfriDish (such as community posts or recipe shares), you grant AfriDish a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute that content within the platform.

You retain ownership of content you create. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe third-party rights.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AFRIDISH AND VITAL RISE HEALTH LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to AfriDish in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AfriDish and Vital Rise Health LLC from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users or the platform.

You may delete your account at any time. Deletion is permanent and results in the erasure of all your personal data within 30 days.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration in Delaware, USA.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
